Plex no longer even attempts to match Movies or TV Shows using the new Plex Scanners and Plex Agents. It used to, but has stopped doing so.
Modifying Manage → Libraries → Advanced → Agent to specify Legacy Agents (TheMVDB, TheTVDB) solves the issue, IMMEDIATELY matching the content and populating the Metadata, but also showing the Red Circle Exclamation Point warning “Library Update Required”. Switching it back to Agent = Plex, and adding new content, goes back to no longer even attempting to find a match.
I’ve tried both the Plex Dance and the Short Plex Dance solutions outlined in this thread, neither solved the problem:
I’ve attached my server logs as of this morning, after 1) adding a new movie, 2) having Plex Agent find nothing, 3) change Agent to The Movie Database, 4) having TheMVDB find a match immediately. Help!
@OttoKerner, thanks for the reply. Apologies if the log file is wrong, but as far as I can tell, I do not have logging set to verbose (see screenshot). Is there somewhere else I need to set this other than Settings → General? See attached screenshot.
@OttoKerner Thanks for the clarification. I stopped, then restarted the Plex Server on my Synology NAS, then downloaded the Logs again (see attached).
I hope these logs are not Verbose, because if they are, I just don’t know why.
I have been experiencing this on my unRaid docker since 1.41.6.x as well. As soon as i revert back to 1.41.5.9522 everything works again. Not sure what changed with those two versions. I tried using Google’s DNS, same issue on 1.41.6.x and above.
