When playing music files, whether in playlist or in directory or by artist/album etc I get “cannot connect o server errors” I start playing again and it starts with no troubles. Until it fails again… I have tried rebooting the whole system with no luck.
I have a samsung 7500 series (2015) running from a qnap Ts-451+ with 8GB of ram. The network is GB and I can play UHD TV and Movies from the Qnap through plex with no issues ever. However Plex struggles to play more then 10 songs consecutively. The samsung TV’s standard player can play MP3 all day with no issues.
It only seems to happen when changing to the next song in the list and doesn’t matter if shuffle is on or off, a playlist or album. The behaviour of the error is, bottom left image and info load, background issue loads and then the error message appears, no sound from that song is played. So not sure what is happening at that stage but whatever is being called at that point seems to cause the error.
The alternate solution is a bookmark so the player picks up where it left off and remembers what songs it played if in shuffle mode.
Thanks @sa2000 ,
To start the repro, I powered off the TV and reboot the qnap completely. The waited for Plex and started the app on the TV. I then launched a playlist, I got the same error on the first song, started the playlist again with no issue. I thin started to skip through the songs waiting for art to load and music to play before moving to the next song. This just accelerates getting the error message. Exactly the same as before there are two incidents contained in the first log 12:38 and 12:39. This is the first log attached.
I then restarted the Plex server and exited the TV app. I then launched the Plex app and restarted the same process as above. The error then happened again at 12:46.
Thanks again, anything more you need please let me know.

Thank you. Could you get me the xml that gets returned for each of the following requests. Please save each xml into a text file with an appropriate name so i can match them to the requests

I have attached the two files for the first two queries. They both returned the answer .
The last three queries returned an error 404 file not found. May be doing something wrong on those three.
This happens for all forms of playing folders / straight off a library, play by album / artist etc.
Thanks again
You are supposed to replace the xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the security token for the server which can be found out using the approach in the article I pasted the link for
Please do not attach any files that contain your server security token
Hi @sa2000,
As we have been unable to progress this any further after a few weeks in the other thread moving it back here. Can I suggest a workaround? If the shuffle function “remembered” what it had played so far and avoided repeating the same songs again it wouldn’t be such a pain. For some reason the shuffle function tends to play the same songs more often then others.
I have also raised a case with Samsung Australia about the OSRAY v Tizen issue.
