Using the latest PMS - once again remote access has been a bit of a pain for about the last 20 minutes.
Playing tracks via Sonos is intermittent, frequently coming up can’t connect to Plex, and then when trying to browse it as a media source getting either “Unable to browse music” or “Unable to connect to the Plex Media Service, Please check your server settings at plex.tv and make sure remote access is enabled”. It is. The port is forwarded and is working correctly, nothing has changed from the network side, internet connectivity is fine. Basically the same issue as every other time remote access has gone down recently.
Using the iOS app with wifi on works fine and with it off (then using mobile data) just gives a blank screen where the content would be and again nothing loads so this shows it’s not a Sonos issue (which it wouldn’t be anyway as the servers hosting that integration are ran by Plex not Sonos.
Local playback works fine (watching live TV for the football as it stands) so not a server issue.
Having the same issues. Tautulli just notified me that plex remote access is down. Been fighting with it for about 20 minutes now.
Manually configured port forwarding on router, manual 32400 port specified in app, confirmed not a double NAT based on remote access troubleshooting tips.
Prior to this latest plex beta update, if remote access was on, there would be a checkmark in the side bar next to it, now there is no checkmark. and if I click apply to insure the settings are on, it causes a loss of remote access and a spinning wheel
Yes I had tautulli do that but after a minute or so it said it was back online, but the issues with playback are stlll intermittent.
The sonos app on windows/mac keeps flashing up between the list of things on plex and the “unable to connect” message and tracks are often taking several attempts to play
It would be good if someone from plex could acknowledge this issue and that it’s being worked on, and provide your paying customers with some form of ETA to have this resolved.
That’s because they only update it when there’s an issue which they know about and are working on.
It’s not proactive like using something like UptimeKuma to monitor anything.
That it isn’t mentioned and nothing has been acknowledged on here yet makes me think they are all having a party or something whilst something we are paying for is broken.
Plex for the web doesn’t work but the Plex app for Mac OS does connect to my server. If I look at Remote Access from the app it shows it’s fully accessible from outside the network but has an unknown public and private IP address. iOS is also working with the phone only using the cellular network.
