Serien und TV Database

OK. So storage pool is now back on track. Folders are generated and being ready to be filled! :slight_smile:
I couldnt find the option “create a share from QTS” so I deleted and formatted the HDD with the Music. So this needs to be copied also now!

In tutorials on Youtube I saw the folder for Plex being used on a Qnap was /share/VolumeFolder/Mediafolder.

If I remeber right I didnt had this option on my Plex version. So in order not to choose the wrong folders again, could you quickly tell me where to find the right folder path.

Hi, shortly an update. All files are almost being copied back to the QNAP. Plex is already new installed and scanning the media files.
I also found now the directories as discriped in youtube under /share/…
Different to before is, that I cannot see any Plex Media Server folder yet at the Filestation.

The TV Shows issues seems to be solved now, as Plex named all Episodes!

I hope functiunallity will remain now like this!

First of all Plex is running since 2 days to scan Music files, ok it is a bit, but still too long.
After I found out, that I dont have my shares on my dreambox I restart the Qnap again.
Now I have the problem, that I do not get the SSL back installed via Cloud Link and I just wanted to add another libarry and I cannot see the /share folder in Plex again.

After I installed the Plex Server I could select from root the share folder!
Why is that?
Again any corruption???

No I eneterd it manually. I cannot select. If I scroll down it shows me share yes, but this share folder is linked to /share/NFSv4/… so it is not the pure /share.

What are you using NFS4 for?

And I’ve actually confirmed this…

If you click on CACHEDEV1_DATA, you should be able to find what you are looking for…
(If you put your data on that storage pool)

And very strange indeed…I suspect a QNAP Firmware or PMS upgrade changed behavior

Maybe PMS as this was the only one after the reset. I guess I will copy all staff back to the different storages and will start from the beginning. As I have also trouble with Qnap SSL certificate and some other issues. :frowning:

Maybe a good idea, after having copied stuff away, to reapply QNAP firmware!

OK. now it seems to work. Firmware dowsgrade on QTS and Plex is currently only the 1.13.5 version available at the QTS App Store.
So far so good.
The only thing not working right now is, Iscanned all movies in German, but finally Plex put all movie titel in english but covers in German. What did I wrong?

I’ll leave this thread now, so it can return to German language, and have @OttoKerner take care of the rest :wink:

OK. Kann nur noch etwas dauern. Ichhabe die Mediathek wieder gelöscht und im Moment liest er noch die MP3 Dateien ein! Danach sind die Filme dran! Sobald ich eine XML habe stelle ich diese ein!

I always, with regards to audio stuff, adds mp3’s in small chunks of max 300, and after each run, optimize my database, due to the long time it takes, and the impact on the database.

Hi. After Plex scanned now my MP3s for almost 1 week, I canx the scan. Then Plex started to scan the movies. But only a few. So I decided to delete Plex again and to install it new!
Unfortuntely I have now this situation


and it stays there! What can I do now!

Uninstall Plex, reboot QNAP, install Plex

How shall I uninstall?? There is no option to click on! It just shows “uninstalling” as status as shown above and nothing happens. I just did an update of Plex to a new version, then it showed it correctly installed in the App Center. After click on remove it shows the same thing as above. I just do an reboot, but I dont thin kthere will be any improvement.
Is there any way I can remove the app manually by SSH client? Or do I have to reset my Qnap again???

Dont know why I have such problems with Plex and Qnap! Not sure if I should do again an firmware upgrade and install the latest version of plex directly?
