Which version of Plex Media Server is installed?
Can you access the server settings?
Did you mess with permissions on the /PlexMediaServer shared folder?
If so, do this: FAQ 32: Repairing the PlexMediaServer shared folder
For media permissions, be sure to check the box for “apply to this folder, sub-folders, and files.”

If all else fails…

Ensure Plex is configured for debug level server logs
Settings → Server_Name → General + Show Advanced

Enable Settings → Library → Scan my library automatically (adds some info to the log files).

Restart Plex Media

Wait 2 - 3 minutes for Plex to fully start and log things.

Pull server logs and post the entire zip file to the thread.
