Hello everybody. Is there already a date when my provider will be added to the EPG list again? It is included in the channel search, but no longer in the selection for the assignment.

Can you provide a screenshot to help explain what you mean by this?
at the first step i can find my Provider
in the 2. step i miss my Provider
I’ tryed with both of my devices (VU Zero with HRtunerProxy and my Fritz Cable (screenshot 1)
Added a separate post as not sure if this is EPG or DVR…
and another…

Cable provider: DNA
Pretty much same situation, as HeinonenTeemu (“DVR—Suomi (laajennettu) (275 channels)”,same channels missing program data). Been like this for a while.
No partial recordings
WRT: PBS and ThisOldHouse NEW
I have 2 Plex recording systems. My OTA system is correctly identifying AskThisOldHouse and ThisOldHouse as NEW on Thursday nights. My Comcast Cable system has not correctly identified new episodes of either show since the switch back to this EPG.
This probably means the issue is more complicated than just PBS or EPG alone.
Thats funny - Fawlty Towers is in schedule for BBC1 today rather than Eastenders
Did Basil write the code for Plex/Gracenote !!! ![]()
That was the original schedule before the sad happenings of Prince Phillip passing and the schedules changing.
I performed a manual refresh about 17:00 this afternoon and this is what the guide now looks like:
versus
I must admit I wasn’t expecting an updated schedule this afternoon as Plex/Gracenote didn’t see the last minute changes on Friday (like TV Guide did) but I was in for a pleasant surprise today ![]()
My guide data auto refreshes 2am
It may be a good idea to have two auto refreshes a day
Or a mechanism that detects a programme change and automatically pushes a programme update
To be fair I have not had a lot of issues with the EPG lately. It has generally been working well with the recordings I have set
There has been an odd missed programme - Which is still annoying
The resolution of the movie gap issue has got me using Plex again as my app of choice over Channels - for the moment I am double recording important shows/films
So far so good
Thanks Plex
Mine too - After I manually refreshed yesterday I had a brief look to see if I could change the time to say 2 pm as that would give Gracenote time to fix issues before the evening rush, but the setting I found under the Live TV & DVR → DVR Settings seems pretty static ![]()
I did find a setting under Schedule Tasks which is set to 2 am but that seems like it might include other background tasks as well.
However, changing it does affect the value in DVR Settings - I’m just a little nervous of other tasks running mid afternoon.
Funnily enough I thought the same ![]()
Changing the start time for your Scheduled Tasks does change the refresh time for the guide.
We had a similar issue with movies and that was fixed. It looks like a Plex Media Server issue - not a new issue and would have also been there with the old EPG
There is currently no TV Show checks on year when comparing EPG entries and they do get merged.
I have an open issue with the server team on the merging aspect and I will add your case to it.
Ah - Yes I remember that being fixed and assumed TV would be covered by the same fix.
Many thanks - much appreciated.
no Reply from Plex… ![]()
Yup i’m seeing the same for that movie on C4.
In addition to the fixes for Free Sport and Blaze +1 on Freeview last week, The Jewellery Channel and Smithsonian Channel are now correctly identified as SD rather than HD ![]()
I don’t know when this happened but I noticed that Smithsonian Channel had become unmapped in Settings → Live TV & DVR → Manage Channels today so I just had to add it back.
Note: It is now called Smithsonian Channel SD which is a little unusual as I don’t believe any of the other standard definition channels on Freeview are suffixed with SD like the HD channels are.
Any idea when the ‘HD Channels Only’ filter is going to be properly fixed?
Still have all the 001,002 etc channels listed after the Plex Web 4.54.5 update. Seems to me like the fix for unknown airings was rushed out a little too fast with no proper testing.
