Can something be done about the generic descriptions, they read like they are provided for non UK transmission
I dont need to be told something is British

I thought i read that the provider is actively checking the main channels for errors
Why has this still got some random date on it?

|t is on the list to address where there is some extra data that we will be processing.

further to my earlier posts this shows that the data is there. We just need to understand why you cannot see it. Are you signed into the app with your Plex Pass account? And have you done a full EPG refresh before checking?

I’ve just done a manual one rather than the overnight and it’s now showing correctly, thanks!

Bill showing on 13th but not 9,10 or 11.

Am signed in with Plex Pass account and not visible on web or IOS apps.

Showing on drama guide for 9 and 10 currently, https://drama.uktv.co.uk/tv-guide/

Screenshot added and refreshed earlier today and just before posting as well to make sure.12|690x314

Misunderstanding. So it is not showing in the recording schedule view
Not scheduling episodes for recording is different from episodes disappearings

Can you get me screenshot of the the Grid View for 10th September for 11am
Click on Live TV and then select Tuesday morning and move time to 11am

Thanks.

It’s showing in guide, but not in scheduled recordings.

That would need a completely different investigation from I and another person went through following your earlier post saying it disappeared

When you open up the two episodes in this guide screenshot, does it show it as scheduled to record ?

What are the recording options you have set ?

I would like to have a look at server logs after a guide refresh and then selecting the scheduled recordings screen and giving me a fresh screenshot with time of screenshot and the logs

Tivo are indeed the provider. Despite @sa2000’s efforts, there are still a lot of problems and I cannot see the end of it. Thank heavens that Plex is not the only solution.

I asked the CTO about this 1 month ago. This was his reply. I had 3 follow-up questions for him and chased him for an answer here, here and here (albeit the last one was only a few minutes ago). I no longer expect an answer.

[edit: typos]

Seems to be a general issue of Plex recording the same episode again when repeated and not recognising that it has already been recorded.

Grand Designs keeps trying to record the same episode when repeated on +1 and 4Seven, I’ve had to lock the recording down to a channel and airing time otherwise it would be recorded about 3 or 4 times this week. Not an ideal situation though as if it misses the original airing time for some reason it won’t record it again like it should do.

Happens on channel 4 shows a lot but also seen it on BBC programs.

I will repro the issue and investigate.

On BBC2 tonight there are two documentaries about Monty Python - one at 9pm and one at 10pm. Both are showing as Films (like all other non-series programmes?) but should be TV Programmes?

Also, next Weds Channel4 at 8pm is the 2nd in a new series of Location, Location, Location. The first one was this Wednesday but was marked as another episode of the previous series (like Strictly Come Dancing above). The next episode in the guide next Weds is showing as the first episode in a new series (33 I think) but it is the 2nd one. The episodes seem to be getting mixed up?

Just to update - Neighbours is now back to doing its ‘two recordings in one’ trick that it had stopped doing a week or so ago. Presumably guide-data related…

Ben Fogle New Lives in the Wild is a series on Channel5 and there’s an episode on Weds at 3.30am. This series is a 2013 series but since the EPG switchover is marked as a 2019 one, so it re-records all the ones I already have. Please can this be fixed? There are a few of these but this is the one that crops up the most for me.

have you tried using EPG collector?

I decided to switch from Plex based EPG provider to XMLTV using “Sky UK” to collect “Open TV” which seems to be working ok (im still playing about with settings etc).

Im hoping to be able to merge Sky listings, Freesat & some foreign satellite EPG listings.

This was raised with our provider and it appears that documentaries do get classed as Films.

If there is evidence of this happening when it is a real series with multiple episodes, do let me know and I will refer it to our provider.

Does that suggest that they won’t be fixing it (for one off documentaries)?
