Player Betas This is for the adventurous, the mild risk-taker, the “I don’t care if it’s at my own risk” type – who wants to test our apps while in an unfinished stage of development. Drill down to the right beta group by selecting a tag, such as android-mobile-beta or ios-beta. Review the pinned topics for information on how to join a beta group. Make sure to tag your new topics with the appropriate player beta tag. Pair it with a server or feature tag (if relevant) to increase the context of your topic. Streaming Devices Plex runs on many streaming devices and platforms. Narrow your topic view by selecting a tag, such as apple-tv, roku, or chromecast. Create a new topic using the most fitting player tag, then pair it with a server or feature tag (if relevant to your topic) to increase the reach of your topic. Mobile Devices Plex thrives on mobile devices. Select a tag to filter by, such as android-mobile or ios. You’ll need to select at least one tag when creating a new topic, so start with a player tag to best describe your topic. Optionally pair it up with a server or feature (if they make sense for your topic). Combine tags and improve your topic’s visibility. Gaming Consoles If the center of your living room is a game console, then Plex has you covered. Filter by tag, such as playstation or xbox-one. When creating a new topic, use one of the gaming console player tags to describe your topic. Add additional tags for your server or feature (if they apply to your topic) to improve the search-ability of your topic. Desktop Players This category is for the Plex player app that can be accessed on desktop computers. user tags, such as player-mac, player-windows, plex-htpc, or plex-web.
